Exam period might be more stressful for students, as the closure of the York Boulevard transit bridge will make commuting to campus more tricky, and delays are expected.
The closure will be from November 27 to December 30, and will be closed in part to allow maintenance of the bridge, as it stands over the York subway construction site.
The bridge, which is used as a way to get into the Harry W. Arthurs Common, where TTC, Go Transit, and York shuttle buses operate, will be closed west of James Gillies Street.
Buses will continue to operate from their usual locations in the Harry W. Arthurs Common.
GO Transit buses will be diverted from their usual path onto Ian Macdonald Boulevard, while TTC buses will be diverted south onto the TTC busway, west onto The Pond
Road, and north onto Ian Macdonald Boulevard. Lastly, York shuttle buses will be diverted south onto James Gillies Street, west onto The Pond Road, and north onto Ian Macdonald Boulevard.
Toronto Police duty officers and traffic flag personnel will be directing traffic during this construction.
Be sure to give yourself a bit more time to get onto campus over the next few weeks.
