York student charged with aggravated sexual assault

A York student has been charged with aggravated sexual assault according to Toronto Police Services.

In a news release on November 15, TPS states, that allegedly he had unprotected sex with a 53-year-old woman between May 2012 and February 2013, without disclosing he was HIV positive. The incident happened in the Kingston Road and McCowan Road area.

York sent out a mass email to its students late Friday afternoon, urging anyone with information to contact Detective Constable Amy Handsor at 416-808-4367.

Toronto police urge anyone that may have had sex with the student to seek medical attention, as they believe there may be more victims.

More information to follow.

This is not alarming, but it is inmforative, I am an African American with disabilities, I have been assaulted and robbed and raped! I find the fact thatwe are just now studying this particular demographic, even makes us morevunerable, I hope this one won’t get buried! I intend to follow this informationwhat preventitive measures can we take other than those we already take. Are penalties stiffer for violater’s? And if so how do we know and how dowe feel safe? Criminals have always preyed on the weak and defenselessI would be interested in how many of us are fatalities because we can’t fightback or flee!!!!!! Well some of us can’t fight back, and should have some selfdefense knowledge that is applicable to the disabilty! I would love to see acriminal down for the count on the busy side of the cane!Disabled but no victim! MSBee in KC!
