Police are warning the public of an armed robbery that occurred near York University’s Keele campus.
On March 4 at 5:13 p.m., police say they responded to a call of a person with a gun.
According to police, a 33-year-old woman was approached from behind by three males while walking West along Shoreham Drive, near Shoreham Court.
The three male suspects walked past the woman and grab her iPhone from her hand. One of the males allegedly lifted his shirt and exposed a silver gun in his waistband, police say.
Following this incident, all three males ran into a nearby ravine and under the bridge over Black Creek Drive.
Police describe two of the male suspects as black, five-foot-two, 13 to 14 years old with a skinny build, both wearing a dark black jacket with a diagonal blue stripe across the back. One of them was armed with a silver gun.
The third male suspect is described by police as black and 13 to 14 years old.
