Police are investigating another sexual assault on Keele campus at Seneca@York.
A woman was standing in line at an Aramark coffee shop Thursday around 6 p.m. when a man approached her, made conversation, and proceeded to touch her inappropriately. The male suspect asked the woman—a non-Seneca student—for her number before advancing on her.
The video surveillance camera shows her trying to push the man away. Toronto police describe the suspect as having a brown complexion, short black hair, between 20 and 25 years old, and with a thin build, around 5’3″ to 5’5″.
Wendy Drummond of Toronto police says the description of the current suspect is “very similar” to the description of the suspect involved in the March 8 sexual assault in the Accolade East Building.
Joanne Rider of York media says that while York security has no part in the ongoing investigation, York is still working with police.
“Obviously we work closely with police with respect to this particular incident,” she says. “This did happen in Seneca which has its own security, but we are cooperating with police.”
Seneca@York has increased security patrols following the incident.
