Jonathan Jupiter of Free York University and Alastair Woods of York United sit down with Excalibur’s Phil Darlington for a one-on-one question and debate period

Shortly after the All-Candidates’ Debate, Excalibur contacted York United’s presidential candidate Vanessa Hunt—who is also the current president for the YFS—and Jonathan Jupiter, the presidential candidate for Free York University (FYU), for a sit-down March 19.
Unfortunately, Hunt fell ill, so she sent vp campaigns and advocacy candidate Alastair Woods in her place. The air between Woods and Jupiter was calm, and both parties remained neutral.
Though Jupiter was also feeling under the weather that morning, and Woods was not expecting to be participating in a debate on such short notice, both sides pulled through and fared well even under the time constraints of 30 seconds per question. Elections run from March 20 until March 23.
