“I didn’t even know there was a multicultural week. Why not? If I can find time in my busy schedule, then sure.”

“Yeah, seeing as there are so many different cultures here at York and so many different groups and clubs. I don’t know if I’ll attend, but maybe.”

Hira Ahmed

“Yes. My parents are Indian and they came to Montréal, and then to Toronto. It was more welcoming. I believe that too, because everyone here is so welcoming.”

Larry Dacunha

third year, history

“I would say yes. You know when you meet people from other cultures, you see things from their perspective? I feel you learn more about that person’s culture and it just opens up your mind.”

Rebecca Adams

first year, psychology
“I personally find it important because I am from an interracial marriage. Where I’m from, I didn’t see a lot of cultures so it’s nice to see that here. Where I’m from, kids didn’t really understand that. Here, everything is celebrated.”
