Critical Issues in Design

Designer Robert Gill taught this course last semester in the York/Sheridan design program. He’s very excited about design and coming from a sociology background, Gill teaches the social effects of design. With design becoming a larger part of the world, Gill dissolves the elitism surrounding it.

Any Jonathan Warren course

Dr. Warren teaches American Literature, Comics & Cartoons, and Modernisms in the English department. From his oratory style, you can almost tell he went to Yale.  His dense lectures are beautifully written and eloquently delivered. He is incredibly serious but entertaining  and his lectures make you feel like you’re in university.

Dr. James Alcock breaks down the psychological processes behind unusual experiences like ESP or witchcraft in this 4 hour Glendon class. By talking about the real world and how we experience things, Dr. Alcock teaches critical thinking without the formality of a MODR class.
