There’s no stopping the Lions women’s rugby team this season. They took down the Waterloo Warriors 39-5 on Sunday September 15, making this the Lions’ third straight win of the season.
The veteran athletes on the Lions’ side led the team to victory on Sunday. Michela Stratton, Bernice Ediagbonya, and Faith Williams all scored tries while Chanelle Lindegaard got a two-point conversion for the Lions.
Some of the rookies for the Lions also had a chance to shine during Sunday’s match. Erin Preston and Esther Sivalingam each added one try of their own to help the Lions secure their victory.
The Lions will be back at Alumni Field for their final regular season game on Friday, September 27 to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks at 7 p.m.
