As soon as you enter the Dragon Pearl Buffet, you feel like you are entering a different country. There are waterfalls on the wall, chairs carved out of wood, and cozy atmospheric lighting.

But the greatest part of this restaurant is that it’s one of the few restaurants to give diners authentic Asian cuisine with a classy atmosphere.

Meals begin with green tea, served in pots with candles inside to keep the tea warm.

The best dishes to eat are their shrimp dishes, which come in a variety of styles. My personal favourite was the spicy shrimp.

There’s also the dessert, which surprised me with its quality. The green tea mousse cake was creamy and light with an intense green tea flavour. It was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet and not too bland.

The Dragon Pearl Buffet’s selection was very rich yet authentic. The food was tasty and filling and the service was a nice complement to everything. At the end of every meal, the servers provide hot cloth towels and fortune cookies.

What makes a successful dining experience in the affluent York Mills area? A visit to the Dragon Pearl Buffet.
