You caress my heart
and treat it well
as though my breast
reads “fragile”
you watch my lips
as they form words,
my hands
show shapes and sizes,
my fingers dance
along to lyrics
just to catch
your reaction
you place your opinion
on the coffee table
and the napkins fly in the air
we catch them all,
and clean our beautiful mess
after hours of love
your actions confirm
that love needs no words
you silently tighten the threads
that hold together
everything I am.
