Police have arrested a York student accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the Village on October 16.
Police say sometime after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jayson Chatha engaged a woman in conversation near Murray Ross Parkway and Sentinel Road. He then allegedly walked the woman to her townhouse, followed her inside, and sexually assaulted her.
Police say the 21-year-old victim did not sustain any injuries.
Chatha was arrested the following Saturday, October 19, and was charged with sexual assault. He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday and was released on recognizance.
