A man has been arrested and charged after possessing a loaded firearm in the Fountainhead Road and Sentinel Road area, Toronto Police say.
Police allege that two men were in a verbal dispute when one of the men produced a firearm, a loaded Hi-Point C 9mm, and then pointed it at the other man and an innocent bystander. Shortly thereafter, the police arrested the man with the gun.
John Keith Geddes, 18, of Toronto has been given 12 charges including possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited weapon obtained by the commission of an offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of prohibited ammunition, weapons dangerous, two counts of point firearm, two counts of possession property obtained by crime (under), possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, and possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order, according to police.
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, September 17, 2012, at 10 a.m.
